High voltage fuse short circuit protection function

High-voltage fuses provide short-circuit protection. When a circuit or a device within it is overloaded or malfunctions, and the current in the circuit exceeds a specified value after a certain period of time, the fuse element heats up and melts, thereby disconnecting the circuit and interrupting the current, protecting the circuit or device.

High-voltage fuses are connected in series with the circuits and devices they protect (for example, high-voltage transmission lines, power transformers, and voltage transformers). They primarily provide short-circuit protection, but some also offer overload protection.

Fuses are the simplest protective electrical devices, used to protect electrical equipment from damage caused by overloads and short-circuit currents. Different types of high-voltage fuses, such as outdoor drop-out type and indoor type, are selected according to installation conditions and usage. For some special equipment, special series of high-voltage fuses should be selected. The fuses we often refer to are fuses.
